Traditional Bengali Macher Mathar Moong Dal Recipe - Bengali Non Veg Recipe



Here is  Bengali Style Macher Matha Diye Moong Dal Recipe. It is one of the Authentic Bengali Fish Head Recipe specially prepared in Bengali Biye Bari. This Bengali recipe is also known as Macher muro diye mug dal. Very popular Bengali food for Bengali Marriage Party.

Ingredients of Macher Mathar Moong Dal :

1) Moong Dal.
2) Rohu Fish Head.
3) Salt.
4) Turmeric Powder.
5) Cumin Powder.
6) Sugar.
7) Dried Red chilly.
8) Cumin Seeds.
9) Sliced Tomato.
10) Garam Masala Powder.
11) Ghee.
12) Bay leaf.
13) Ginger Paste.
14) Sliced Green Chilly.
15)Green Peas.
16) Mustard Oil.



How To Make Macher Matha Diye Moong Dal:

Step 1 -
Heat a pan then pour one tsp Ghee and fry the Moong Dal till brown.

Step 2 -
Add Water, Green Chilly, half tsp Salt and cover it for 10 min. to boiled the Dal.

Step 3 -
After boiling add one tsp Turmeric Powder, some more water, fried Rohu Fish Head, Peas, Salt as per taste. cover it for 5 min.

Step 4 -
Heat Mustard Oil on another pan and add dry Red Chilly, Bay Leaf, Cumin Seeds, Chopped Tomato, one tsp Ginger paste, Cumin Powder, one tsp Sugar and mixed well.

Step 5 -
Add the mixture to the boiled dal, cover it and cook it for 5 min.

Step 6 -
Add half tsp Garam Masala Powder and one tbsp Ghee.

Serve hot with steamed rice. Enjoy "Macher Mathar Moong Dal".
